melbourne.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

here are a couple of mismatched shots from my four day trip to melbourne.

i love travelling. it is what i was born to do. jet lag, plane trips, sweaty cargo pants, busy airports, i don't mind, because in the end it is worth it.

i'd only really been to melbourne once or twice before, and even though it was just a couple of hours away (by plane that is), it was just something that i didn't get around to doing. i would have liked it to be in other conditions, but being the little travel-nutter i am, i seized my chance, without looking back... well, okay, maybe once or twice.

of all the things i saw and encountered in melbourne, two things stuck.

one. i'd want to visit it again, only this time on my own terms. exploring thrift stores, swimming in the sea, peeking through old book stores, watching sunsets, walking barefoot... that's what i wanted, and melbourne seems like a perfect place for it.

two. i was excited to grow up and to be independent. so many choices were to be made, and the static, invigorating atmosphere i discovered in melbourne instilled a sort of i-guess-leaving-home-won't-be-too-bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.

have a nice weekend, friends.

  4. It's a beautiful picture of the dragon toy but I am scared of those playgrounds after being swooped as a littel girl when all excited to stretch my legs on the way to Lakes Entrance Victoria.
