"see you next year" (the last 2013 post, eep, how exciting!)

This year? Woah, during this year ever so slightly, day by day, month by month, things happened. Big things at that. People around me changed, I changed (a lot.) as did my perspective on life. SO much happened this year that I'm not sure I can sum it up into one or two paragraphs.

My 2013 collage (that little girl on the bottom left? That's yours truly aged 5)

I became stronger at standing up for what I believe in, I developed my tastes, I had some weighty downs and learnt how to cope with them, I passed my major exam of the year, I became more open-minded, I said goodbye to the best teacher I ever had, I also said goodbye (and 'good riddance') to the worst. I continued to grow into and strengthen a friendship that means a lot to me with a crazy-awesome friend. Together we seem to be evolving into better people, and for that I am glad. I met new people and tried to be more laid-back when chatting with guys (they're not thaaaaat much different from girls, I found out. Plus sometimes they can be kinda funny & witty..). I also discovered a little thing called feminism and decided to incorporate the thoughts that came with it into my every day life. I started many projects (and usually didn't even get half way through) such as the SYNESTHESIA project. I found many role-models via the internet and via my friends-all women. I decided to let love come to me (but that doesn't mean I can't do a little flirting. OK; time to change the subject.) I collected great quotes, and decided to make my own.

I compared myself (& my talents & thoughts) to others a lot but somewhere along the way I figured out that that was OK, I just had to remember that I am me, and me is enough.

Happy 2014 folks, geez it goes by quickly!

Last of all, let's congratulate the people at Google who seem to spend all their spare time coming up with new, groovy little Google icons every time.
Aw look at poor little 4 waiting for his turn, it's getting all pumped up to replace that 3, it's like "You've had your go, Trio, it's FINALLY mah turn to boogie. No to Trio, sure to Four".
