the last day of summer

Back to school it is. I spent the last day painting my nails, removing the nail polish and painting them again -- that's what stress does to you. But nonetheless it was what I call a sunshiney day. I invited two of my closest friends over and we had a very long talk about the in's and out's of every subject and of school. Not to mention a whole lot of singstar (ABBA anybody?) -- my throat is killing me and yum chocolate brownies. I captured today with a ton of pictures with the help of my Nikon. Every time I hold it I feel all happy, and fuzzy.

My holidays have not been all popsicles and smiles but I'm okay -- I always am. And on this happy merry note, I look school in the eye and say "Bring it".

Thanks for your lovely comments -- I love you all.

With coloured pencils and pineapples,

to fairy tales and magic

There's always been a point in one's childhood where one's asked their parents the nagging question:
"Are they real?"
The countless of stories, fairy tales, classics, books, "Once Upon A Time"s. Are they real? When receiving the unsatisfying answer (that being: "I'm sorry honey, but no...") some - most - choose to believe in princesses feeling peas and princes slaying mighty dragons, that magic really does exist and that sitting for days in a musty cupboard will result to meeting Mr. Tumnus. And I do. I want(ed) to receive a letter on my 11th birthday inviting me to Hogwarts, I want to be able to become invisible like Violet and own a garden full of sweets and edible grass, I want to tumble down a rabbit's whole and eat a superb looking cake that makes me grow.

"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams"
"Everything in this room is eatable. In fact even I am eatable, but that is called cannibalism my dear children and is frowned upon in most civilizations"
“So much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.”
“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams”
“So much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it.”“A little nonsense now and then, is cherished by the wisest men.”

Which fantasy adventure would you like to take part in?

Mrs Fields Cookies

Twice a year I go to L.A. Twice a year - and only then - I get to enjoy a Mrs. Fields cookie on the plane. Twice a year I slowly tear the gooey cookie, placing the parts, one by one into my mouth. Each time I do, I just die. This is an Australian brand, but you can find them anywhere really. Aghh, now I want one. And badly too.
And they have the best flavours :) Mmm...

See you soon!
