a poem

Unfurling fragility, whispers of a new life,
A new fate,
Above; hues of pink and peach, stars exploding silently,
Bellow; plants and buds,
The soil thick and rich, gently pushing my fingers into it,
My nails caked with earth.

Looking around me, things seem to change,
Faintly hearing a melody,
Sweet and innocent,
Reminding me of the fresh, of the new,

This world is awakening.
As I start to wander along a nondescript path,
Pools of silver start to form,
The moon is crying, its life has ended,
What we called home is no longer.

Not knowing why, feeling unresponsive,
Tears I call my own join the pools,
Two liquids, as sorrowful as each other,
I continue my way, aimless,
An outsider.

A tingling of sorts makes me swivel,
In front of me looms
A palace wide and large,
A deep shade of red,
Glowing and gleaming,
Full of promise.

Squeeze My Eyes Shut

A recap, a while back, the flow I was writing at was not continuous, I stumbled on what to say on my post, words didn't come to me, I added pictures for the sake of it and I did not experience much joy in blogging.

Now, I am certain with what I want and how far I want to take blogging. I have decided that I will not stress over stats, comments or followers, I will not nag myself to get the "latest" blog gadget, but will write for the reason I started blogging: for the thrill.

Sometimes when I read other blogs, I feel quite sad that my blog has not as much success, or as many readers. I feel that the standard (I'm not sure of what) has not been attained. But, then I realize that I didn't start for a number (a statistic for example), I have to remember that blogging is virtual and as much as I love "My words & I" -- my gorgeous blog, no way will I ever spend all my free time on it.

I have decided that with all these values in mind I will think "good, long, picture-plenty, and vivid" while expressing myself in Posts.

Old readers, and new, I hope that you enjoy reading my blog and hope that some time, not soon, but some time I will leave this blogging world with a smile and a pocket full of good memories. Thank you.

Onto something else, I officially have a dream. My dream is to own:

$ 560 is quite some money, 'specially for a 12 year old captur-er. But if that 12 year old -- that's turning 13 very shortly {eep!} is determined to save every cent of her pocket money for this beauty, I think it's possible. I will not have this given to me on a golden platter, but I will put sweat, blood and pain to achieve. Righty-ho, maybe not thaaat much.

I am now on Facebook. These are the websites that I love:

Picnik.com
Blogger.com
Gmail.com
Polyvore.com
Yahoo.com
Deviantart.com
Skype
Miniclip.com
Weheartit.com

I think it's very important not to get too caught up with cyberspace and spend some solid "enjoying life" time.

Just a belated "Happy Fathers' Day". I love you papa! Yesterday we had Yum Cha and I ate so much I could of burst from a peculiar mango pudding (photos later) to pork plump dumplings, it was pretty yumish.

It is the 5th day of spring: my favourite season. How beautiful everything gets. Sadly I have to be sick, bleh.

Coming soon: 100 things to do before I die. It will be broken up into two posts, <3

Come back soon,
Love,
Zoé

P-S About the title, I'm not sure... I think it was an inspirational urge?!

Guest Post || Sophie

I have Sophie here with me at school, we have a break, so I've decided to ask her personality questions:

What do you like to do on a rainy afternoon?

I'd like to read books or put a hoodie on and go outside and enjoy the rain.

Do you enjoy photography?

I don't have a camera and don't take many pictures, but I do enjoy looking at inspiring pictures, like the ones on Zoé's blog!

What are some of your favourite songs?

I like "Your love is my drug" by Kei$ha and "Animal" also by her.

So you have a moto, or an inspiring group of words you would like to share?

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain", and my other one "Keep going there is always good ahead" which means that every day there will always be something nice that will make your day, even if you don't know about it yet.

What is your favourite herb, flower or plant?
{She's quite into herbal medicine :) }

I like, lavender because if its' medical uses and it smells nice. I also really love snow drops.

Which holiday (Easter, Christmas or your Birthday) do you prefer?

Christmas is probably my favourite because you get to receive chocolate, toys and other fun things and others too, so you can enjoy your presents together.

Do you wear jewelry? What is your favourite item?

If I wear jewelry it would be simple, pretty and meaningful to me - with a sentimental value. I would wear it almost always and would keep great care of it. I love charms and pendants, so necklaces.

Lastly what is the genre of book that you prefer?

Mythology and Adventure. Also Fantasy. Such as Harry Potter (7) & Percy Jackson.

Thank you Sophie! You have been awesome! Thanks for giving my blog a moment of your time.

Thanks, it's an honor to be on your blog.
