a poem

Unfurling fragility, whispers of a new life,

A new fate,

Above; hues of pink and peach, stars exploding silently,

Bellow; plants and buds,

The soil thick and rich, gently pushing my fingers into it,

My nails caked with earth.

Looking around me, things seem to change,

Faintly hearing a melody,

Sweet and innocent,

Reminding me of the fresh, of the new,

This world is awakening.

As I start to wander along a nondescript path,

Pools of silver start to form,

The moon is crying, its life has ended,

What we called home is no longer.

Not knowing why, feeling unresponsive,

Tears I call my own join the pools,

Two liquids, as sorrowful as each other,

I continue my way, aimless,

An outsider.

A tingling of sorts makes me swivel,

In front of me looms

A palace wide and large,

A deep shade of red,

Glowing and gleaming,

Full of promise.

Okay, I have news. No, not wimpy or unfortunate news. No. My news is bigger than an obese elephant in a bright pink bikini. My news is bigger than the distance from here to Pluto (where I shall no doubt have a tea party) and back. My news is bigger than my dream mars bar (which is pretty darn big). My news is that...

I have my NikonD3100!

I am so unbelievably happpy, I could hug I pineapple or something. Since, my mum forgot to get a pineapple yesterday at the fruit markets, I will give virtual hugs. 

to you. and you. you at the back, i don't like you, go away. and to you. and to the baby. and you too!

I'm so happy I might explode. I've been saving for a little less than a year, and in that period of time I have NOT spent a single penny. 

Now if you excuse me I shall go run around squealing and dancing in celebration.

one little word || 2012

There is this movement and it is called One Little Word. Instead of having a list, a very long list of things you want to complete {who needs that when they have a bucket list *ahem*}, they encourage you to pick one word for the year. A word you will follow, you will be able to hold on to through thick and thin. This word is a your bible, your light at the end of the tunnel for the whole of two thousand and twelve.

I have decided to take part in this. And after a lot of thought and options:

light, up, peace, story, nourish, art, bliss, believe, enjoy, cherish

I have chosen the word: relish


To relish is to enjoy, cherish, grasp and look forward to every single of those three hundred and sixty five days. To relish is to take control of your life, of your day. To relish is to enjoy the small moments that make you smile. To enjoy and be content with. To relish is to feel that rush of happiness whilst travelling and to love your friends, and family. And your enemies. To relish is to see beauty everywhere, and capture it with words and a camera lens (preferably a Nikon D3100) To relish is to be peaceful inside of you and live each day like your last. To relish is to dream, hope, and of course love.

seizing the day

Hello beautiful people!

This is my 81th post; and "My words and I"'s birthday is coming up quite soon.

Lately, I've thought a lot about seizing the day. I've thought about waking up in the morning and thinking "Okay, today is going to be a lovely day, and exciting day" And even if bad somehow seeps into my life, at least I can hold me head high and carry this thought into my heart.

Even school days, the long hours of class, if I look at them in the way that they could enrich me, and that I could thirst for knowledge and books, then it is possible to enjoy these days. 

Certain people, actually only one person,  has done a lot to bring me down, to make me stumble, trip and hurt myself. But I have kept a proud heart, and with the help of family, friends and even teachers I have won. I have burst through the surface and finally, I am free.

Free to touch the sky

Treat your days like gems: precious, valuable and beautiful.

94 things that I want to do before I die {see part 1} If I think of any others I will be sure to type them up as quickly as possible! Hopefully before next year I will have composed a hundred items on my bucket list.

Kate and William's Fairy-tale wedding

I have been absolutely enchanted by this wedding. I am on my computer while waiting for the fairy-tale kiss. The wedding was in the rules: white, best man/lady, father gives away daughter, ring and church. But also a little modern: the dress (I died when I saw it, so beautiful!) and the cars.
The best thing about this wedding? It made me dream big :)
I also loved her earrings, hair and tiara. She seemed so relaxed and happy, I admire her!!
Plus, she was amazingly beautiful.
She is a great match for Prince William. Only thing: why didn't he get a ring?
I want to be a princess more than ever!!

Ponderings

Hello,

I was talking to a friend, on Skype and he said (in a nice way :)) That my blog "has kind of slowly decreased..". At the beginning, I was a little upset, but looking at my blog posts, they are all so quick, and rushed. It's not normal that the biggest label is "Quick Post". Come on! :) Anyways, what I am trying to say, is that from now on I shall try and post the good, long, old fashioned way. I am taking your comment into consideration J.

Okay, now I will go on with this post. I called it "ponderings", because I have a lot of them, and sometimes they pile up in my mind and make it foggy. So my latest pondering:

What if raindrops were diamonds and crystals. Wouldn't everyone be so extremely rich? And wouldn't it hurt quite a lot? I mean, kids would be in hospital often.
Doctor: What is it again?
Mum (Worried): She was just having fun, in the rain, and now... A concussion? Really?
And wouldn't everything rely on who has big buckets? To get the most diamonds, and wouldn't it be so sad, that the world turns around BUCKETS? It's absurd, like now, us relying on dirty paper bills and pieces of metal ($ notes & $ coins).
Wow, look at me rave, and ramble on.

And about the funniest things :)
I love this, that I can write on and on, because, this is my blog! :D

Things I have Learnt This Year

1- Books can teach you a lot, they can inspire you and can evoke feelings. You can admire characters, or you can hate and despise them. You can follow their actions and follow their way of being... But in the end they teach you to form your life.

2- Some questions best not be answered. Or atleast till a certain time or age. They might kill your childhood, scare you, stop you from dreaming.

3- Forgive not Forget. Which is harder than you think.

4- If you always live in fear, what's the point in living?

5- Meeting new people is meeting adventure.

6- Little moments cause great happiness.

7- No-one's perfect.

8- If you keep a secret bottled up inside of you for too long, you'll explode - not litrally but with your actions, your personality will change too.

9- People - and things - are not what they seem.

10- When writing a story, you don't count the words or pages, you just go with the fantasy of writing.
11- You dream & imagine with your ♥
12- Mean your actions.
13- Never change for someone else, only change because you feel it's time... Because want it or not, you will.
14- Fantasy is just as important as facts.
15- Live, Love & Laugh. In that order.

Six Impossible Things Before Breakfast

I don't know if you have seen the latest movie by Tim Burton...

 

... but it's one of my fave. The movie is really great (maybe a little too violent though) but I'd say that the screenplay is even better. The movie was based on the screenplay which is different than the Lewis Carroll story. This movie/book/screenplay, basically, story, makes you think and ponder, you have to see/read it at least four times to think you've understood it. Anyways, here are some fun things I found on the web.

Introduction

This blog will contain all my thoughts, feelings and dreams. I hope you will be able to enjoy it as much as I have making it.

A couple of things gave me inspiration to make this blog:

• My sister's note-pad. It's this baby-blue pad with the words 'Dream' printed in fancy script.
• The blog "Toucher tes rêves" by Sonshu. I love how there is a ton of awesome stuff all whipped up into this fantastic blog. If you happen to be reading this, Sonshu, CONGRATZ! Keep up the good work!
• My thoughts. One day I told myself, Zoé, wouldn't be great if you could share your thoughts to the world? So here it is!!!
